May Happenings
This is post about procrastination, over compensation, and plain ole winging it. The fact that it is now June is further testament to my procrastination. I wrote this up May 18th and I am just adding the photos to this post. Let's take a peek at what is happening (or has happened) around the home.
The last bits of spring flowers are really showing off. The bleeding heart blooms are starting to fade. I just potted my yearly geranium purchase. I love the bright red and the contrast with all the green elsewhere in the yard. I also have one planted in a hand painted pot that I painted.

The garden plants are getting bigger little by little. It is funny to see the few of our seedling sitting next to the big plant purchased from the store. I'm hoping with time they will catch up but for now they are a comical reminder of rushing to get things into the ground too early.

The herbal garden is slowly coming along. I did my first harvest of leaves for tea making after much procrastination. I always get nervous with new things and growing plants for tea is new to me. I had no trouble researching and purchasing the plants. I have the gas jars for storing the dried leaves all ready to go. I like to leave things at 90% but I forced myself to get the leaves and start drying them.

In our back yard have this annoying weeping cherry tree. It shade the flower garden too much, grows all sorts of crazy, has big roots, and isn't even edible for us. Once day it will be gone but for right now I makes this cool little leafy cave so I tucked a fairy house and a tree door under the branches. Maybe the girls will enjoy a little bit of fairy magic on the warm summer days.
